Services
Care and Support West membership offers an accreditation and guarantee of service quality. This is achieved through a vetting procedure to new members and a commitment on the part of every member to adhere to the code of conduct, to strive to deliver the highest possible quality of care. Membership provides an assurance to the public relating to the standards of care they can expect from a member organisation.
Local and regional influence - Care and Support West is a regional association with extensive local knowledge and national links. This local knowledge, expertise and connections are used to the benefit of our members. Our involvement in local provider forums is crucial to ensuring our members get as fair a deal as possible regarding funding.
Lobbying - As a leading representative body for the social care and health sector in the West of England, Care and Support West takes part in consultation processes and lobbies for improvements to care and health services in the area and nationally.
Networking opportunities – Care and Support West offers members opportunities to meet, exchange information and share business experiences through meetings and through the member only area of the website. Formal meetings have informative presentations and talks by partnering agencies such as CSCI.
Advice and support – Care and Support West provides advice and support to members and facilitates access to legal support and representation in cases where specialist expertise is required.
Negotiations – Care and Support West negotiates funding and fees on behalf of members, and lobbies for fair partnering arrangements.
- Our Consultant is available by phone and email to give business advice and support, and facilitate access to other specialists
- Legal advice is available via a partnership with Burroughs Day – members are entitled to 20 minutes telephone advice free of charge. Members also get discounted rates if they decide to pursue their enquiry further
- The Committee is made up of highly experienced professionals with a wealth of knowledge about the sector and business issues. They are there to provide help and support to members
Information services – Care and Support West provides members with up-to-date information on developments in the social care and health sector, giving them the resources to make appropriate business decisions. Information is disseminated through the newsletter, general meetings and via the website.
Training and workforce development – Care and Support West is a founding member of Care Learning, a Not-for-Profit organisation that facilitates access to funding for training and skills development in the sector. CRB checks and POVA – Care and Support West offers members a highly cost effective service covering CRB and POVA checks.
Marketing – Care and Support West lists members on the directory section of the new website, with opportunities in the New Year to add further details of each home.
